Weeding the Onions

Broad Beans

March at the allotment and the Broad Beans I sowed in the Autumn are doing incredibly well (see above). I removed the plastic pollytunnel that had been covering them since they were sown as they are now fairly strong and probably won't need the protection. I was pleased to see that several of the plants have already started flowering (see below).

I weeded the Garlic bed, which is next to the Broad Beans. The Garlic is all growing very well and looking healthy (see below).

I also weeded the Onion and Shallot bed (see below) which now looks much tidier. These are also growing really well and hopefully keeping on top of the weeding should help to give them a good chance of growing to a decent size this year.
